Chief Innovators:
Phil Jakobi
SVP Design & Engineering and Executive Committee Chairman
Phil has been the cornerstone of the design, engineering, manufacturing, testing and operations of TrinovaMed. He has 30 plus years experience in engineering and design in the aerospace industry. In 2001, he sold his company, Delco Machine and Gear, to BE Aerospace. When presented with the TrinovaMed machine concept he was extremely intrigued and happily left retirement to commit all his time and energy to the development of the TrinovaMed technology.
James Bennett
Production Engineer
James is a former United Stated Marine who went on to complete his technical training at ITT Technical Institute. He has been working as a manufacturing engineer in the aerospace industry for over 20 years. He was hired by TrinovaMed at the inception of the company and has worked closely with Phil Jakobi in the design and testing of the TrinovaMed machine. Together with Phil he co-authored and owns various patents on the TrinovaMed machine and Chlorine Dioxide processes.
James N. Smith
Executive Committee Chairman
Jim has over 45 years experience in the manufacturing sector of the Aerospace industry. His experience has been from hands on machining, engineering, quality control, finance and President of his own companies.
Carlo Moyano
Executive Committee Member
Carlo Moyano serves as president and chief executive officer of JCM Engineering Corp., a manufacturing company he founded with his father 23 years ago. JCM is a leading manufacturing company supporting some of the world’s foremost companies including The Boeing Company, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, the U.S. Government and United Technologies. Carlo joined TrinovaMed shortly after inception and has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2006.
Lorylle L. Ross
CFO and Executive Committee Member
Lorylle is an Arthur Andersen & Co veteran. While at Arthur Andersen she managed clients in the entertainment, oil and gas, small business, hospitality industries. Since 1988, she has consulted with Sony International Television, Spelling Television, and MGM, as well as many small businesses. She has been involved with TrinovaMed since inception and is currently acting as CFO for TrinovaMed with all financial, corporate and accounting support.
Richard Wackeen
Executive Committee Member
Richard, a serial entrepreneur - after a short period of time in the restaurant business, he started a company selling computerized machine tools. As an entrepreneur he has represented a variety of Japanese Machine Tool builders in southern California.
Tom Bang
CEO and Executive Committee Member
Tom is a veteran healthcare executive with 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining TrinovaMed Tom was CEO and President of San Diego-based A-Life Medical, Inc. Prior to A-Life Medical, Bang was CEO at PATIENTLINE, LLC a patient-care technology provider. Bang has also held various executive positions at American Hospital Supply, Baxter International, Cardinal Health and the Pyxis Corporation.
Brian Williams, MBA, CHESP, HACCP
SVP – Business Development & General Manager
Brian’s career as a healthcare executive specializing in Environmental Services and General Maintenance makes him uniquely qualified to lead the TrinovaMed business development and day-to-day operations. His work experience includes management responsibilities for small community based hospitals to large and complex healthcare systems ranging from 100 beds to 800, which included managing 300+ employees, and multi-site facilities. He has received numerous awards for outstanding quality, innovations, employee development, and program management.
